POPAsheville day one is over. Here are some things I’ve learned:
Bring a flask. The bar lines are long, but people are friendly so talk to you line-mates. Tip your bartenders well, they are having a bad night. Ride the bus and bring some cans of PBR to share. It’s cold, dress warm. Also, there are no good late-night pizza shops in this town.
My highlights were all the bus bands; Kon Tiki, Big Road Blues, and Snake Oil Medicine Show; and Future Islands.
