Xmas Jam
It’s the 20th year that Warren Haynes has coordinated his annual Christmas Jam. The post-production proceeds from this event go to Habitat for Humanity and they have raised almost a million bucks over the past five years. There are some big names playing so go out and support your love of music and Habitat.
Friday at the Civic Center ($55): Allman Brothers Band, The Del McCoury Band, The Derek Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Joan Osborne
Saturday at the Civic Center ($55): Ben Harper and Relentless7, Coheed & Cambria, Steve Earle, Michael Franti with Jay Bowman Acoustic, Gov’t Mule, Joan Osborne, Johnny Winter
For an added bonus, there is music all day Friday and Saturday at Stella Blue, The Emerald Lounge, and Jack of the Wood. $10 per venue per day.
And if that wasn’t enough, there will be music-related films at The Fine Arts Theatre as well including The Flaming Lips film Christmas on Mars back again after a screening during the Asheville Reject Film Festival.
