The Nashville carnival-rock band, Darla Farmer, will be at The Rocket Club tonight with their 7 members (Clint, Bryce, Joey, Ben, Casey, Chase, Ben #2) and numerous instruments (guitar, bass, trombone, piano, tambourine, violin, trumpet, and drums). If it is like any ska, freak marching band, or klezmer punk show I’ve ever been to, it should be a raucous good time.
Asheville duo, Speedsquare, and horn-heavy, Jar-E, will also be on hand.
The folks at Paper Garden Records have hooked us up with two tickets for tonight’s show and a Darla Farmer album, which can be all yours just by emailing us with Darla Farmer in the subject line. A winner will be selected randomly around 5pm today.
Sorry, I’ve been in Texas. There was this little event called South by Southwest. Sadly In my travels I missed some great local shows: These United States with semi-locals Arizona and Man Man with The Felice Brothers. Fortunately, I saw all but Arizona in Austin.
